Dteams... What the??
Dteams are really important within FUEL and we encourage all young people to be involved in one. I hope that the answers to these questions give you a better understanding of what a Dteam is and I hope it encourages you to want to be part of one.
What are Dteams?
Dteams are Discipleship Teams. Each term we have 3 or 4 nights designated as Dteams nights. They usually in someone's house or at the church. Dteams are all about making you feel comfortable and important, making friends, building lasting relationships, having fun and helping you to learn more about what Jesus Christ is all about.
What is achieved if I am part of a Dteam?
We hope that through DTeams, people will be able to learn more about God with a group of friends and have fun while doing it. Being part of a Dteam also gives you an opportunity to ask any question you want about anything and helps you to get to know people of your age a lot better. Sometimes when you are part of a big group it is hard to get to know those people who are in the same year of school as you or the same age, but when you become part of a Dteam it helps you in making great relationships with those people.
Who will be in a Dteam if I join one?
Dteams usually consist of 5-10 people of the same sex and year level. They are lead by one or two leaders who's specific responsibility is to look after you guys.
What will we do when the Dteam gets together?
D-teams spend time getting to know each other, studying the bible, praying, or just talking about issues in their lives. They will also probably play some games, and share some food together.
Are there any rules involved to be part of a Dteam?
There are no rules that allow you to be part of a Dteam. All you need to do is find out where your Dteam is meeting and come along on the night. It would be great to try and commit to that team every time they get together. If you're not sure which leaders look after your Dteam, or need information as to where your Dteam is meeting - feel free to send us an email or give us a call. We'd love to see you there!
