Hey Guys, It’s me again (Flick)!! I have yet again been pulled into writing this blog for you, but I hope you enjoy it. I have spent today helping out Brendan in the office and doing other pretty cool stuff such as writing this blog and some other little jobs.
So term 2 finished off with a Baptism United which was pretty sweet! I was pretty excited watching it! But while everyone is still chillaxing after the hectic term full of fuel highlights such as DTU, Dteams, Junior/Senior split, Fuel Aid, Year Level Night and STATE YOUTH GAMES!!!!
So as you can see it was a pretty crazy term with lots of silly memories. I had the awesome opportunity of travelling up to SYG on the Saturday night to perform in the Aerobics Ladies A. We came first thanks to the support of Syndal Baptist and then Syndal Baptist won SYG!!! (Which is so awesomely cool!!!)
So unfortunately we don’t have fuel for the next three weeks but then it starts again on July 23rd which I am literally counting the days. We have stacks of awesome things coming up and I am so excited!!!
OMGosh guys I have to say that the cheering for the girls aerobics was mad! It was so loud we could here it on stage and it boosted all of our confidence and enthusiasm and made us perform much better! SYN WAAAAT??
At the moment in the bible I have been reading the book of Luke. I have been learning lots of things by reading the word of God. In Luke 5:27-31, Jesus dined with Levi the tax collector, and the Pharisees asked “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and ‘sinners’? Jesus replied saying “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”
It is not just Christians who Jesus came for. It is the people who don’t know Jesus, that need to know Him, and the people we need to show Jesus to. The difference between the tax collector and the Pharisees was that Levi knew he was sinful and needed Jesus, his Saviour, but the Pharisees didn’t think they needed Jesus because they thought they were perfect. So the truth is, regardless of whether we think we are a good person, or whatever, we all need Jesus. We need a Saviour, and so does everyone around us.
I know for me there are times when I think I am a good person and don't need God in my life, but this passage reminds me that allthough we may not think we don't need Him in our life, we really truly do. We need to keep thanking God for providing the Saviour we all need.
God Bless Everyone!
